Darren West

Director

Darren West is an enthusiastic Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and business owner with an unwavering commitment to his clients. He was offered partnership of GFM Accountants at age 28 and has grown the business exponentially in the 25 years since. He has earnt a reputation for resolving complex taxation matters and providing successful financial outcomes for his clients.  

Throughout his career, Darren has worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, small businesses, and corporate entities. His expertise extends across various industries, allowing him to provide tailored financial solutions that address the unique challenges each client faces.

In his spare time, Darren is an avid Western Bulldogs fan and player sponsor. He enjoys watching and attending any and every sport and regularly volunteers as runner for the PEGS Senior Girls AFLW team of which his daughter is an integral player. 

Brent Vickery

Director

Brent began working at GFM Accountants in 2003 and became a director in 2006. Prior to GFM Accountants Brent worked for a Chartered Accounting practice for five years that specialised in providing accounting, taxation and consulting services to medical professionals.

Brent is passionate about helping clients, taking the time to explain complex matters simply to ultimately help his clients achieve their business and personal goals. 

Away from the office Brent enjoys spending time at the beach surfing with his lovely family and going to the footy with family and friends to support the mighty Western Bulldogs and Caroline Springs Lakers.

Andrew

Being the longest serving employee with the firm, Andrew has 20 years bookkeeping experience. Managing and arranging the lodgement of BAS / IAS on behalf of clients is his primary role. Andrew can assist with any GST , Payroll or staff issues you may have. 

Being partnered with Macquarie Leasing for over 20 years Andrew can assist with your finance requirements and in a quick and easy process you can obtain that new vehicle or equipment you require. 

Struggling to pay those ATO debts? Have no fear over the year. Andrew has built a strong relationship with the ATO and can arrange strategic payment plans to be put in place on your behalf.

Rebecca

Rebecca has been employed with GFM for 14 years. Many will remember Rebecca starting out as our Receptionist all those years ago. As a long standing employee, she has considerable knowledge of our clients and services and is an invaluable support system to the firm.

As Office Manager, Rebecca assists the Directors with internal business administration, running our ASIC (Australian Securities & Investment Commission) system and working as part of the Office Administration Team.

In her spare time she enjoy holidays down the Surf Coast with her young family, being active and spending time with family and friends.

Peter

Peter joined GFM Accountants in 2006 as a graduate accountant and now heads up our Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) division.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Accounting) from Victoria University. Peter’s expertise in the Superannuation field has proven particularly beneficial for those clients who are looking to expand their SMSF assets outside of their personal investments.

Peter enjoys spending time with his family and watching his beloved LA Lakers.

Brendan

As a CPA, Brendan has been working in public practice since March 2000 and he joined GFM in July 2009.

As a fierce supporter of the Adelaide Crows, he was very surprised to be offered a job by 2 bulldog supporters but has enjoyed his time with the firm ever since. 

He believes strongly in volunteering and is an active member of Scouts Victoria, along with both of his children, as members of the 1st Hoppers Crossing Scout Group.

Jenny

Jenny joined the GFM team in July 2010 as Senior Office Administrator. She comes to us with many years of experience having started her career with another local accounting firm in 1978. Jenny has a wealth of knowledge and is always on hand, ready, willing and able to assist with most general queries.

If you don’t find Jenny in the office, these days you will find her off enjoying the odd game of Bingo or a movie with friends, up in Swan Hill watching her daughter’s netball games and calisthenics competitions or over in Japan with her husband visiting their son, his wife and grandchildren.

Jack

Jack has worked at GFM Accountants since 2014 after graduating with a Bachelor of Accounting at Latrobe University.  

Jack specialises in completing financial accounts for trusts, companies and partnerships as well as individual tax returns and business activity statements.

Jack is qualified in XERO and has completed his RG146. In his spare time Jack is the scorer at Greenvale kangaroos cricket club, statistician at Greenvale Football Club and attends Essendon matches.

Jai

Jai Carlin has recently joined us at GFM and holds a Bachelor of Accounting at RMIT University.

Jai is new to the public practice and is learning the ropes from the great team here at GFM. Previously, Jai worked as an Accounts Receivables officer for a company and moved to GFM in search of gaining valuable knowledge in Accounting.

In his spare time, Jai loves his sports and spending time with his young family.

Amandeep Singh Bedi

Amandeep joined GFM Accountants in 2023 bringing his expertise in this field. Since becoming qualified as a CPA in 2020 Amandeep has been working with local accounting firms gaining great level of knowledge. 

He has completed bachelor’s in accounting and then added a master’s double degree in accounting & HR to his knowledge of wealth. Amandeep started working in HR and then made the move into Accounting with all his expertise. 

Amandeep relocated to Australia in 2017 and since then has accomplished his life and has settled with his family who he loves affectionately. 

He loves to help people in need, and he loves to spot an airplane. (Big fan of big toys)
